University Spirit is a member owned trade association and buying group headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Membership is by invitation only and limited to privately owned stores serving a particular college campus, which is not in conflict with a current member.
Our organization's objective is to keep members on the "cutting edge" of the changes, which occur in the college recognition products market. We seek to accomplish this goal by encouraging members to share information concerning consumer preferences on their particular campuses. We take this information, evaluate it, and reach certain conclusions about where the market is heading. We share with each other through two member meetings a year, a bi-monthly newsletter, a private email loop, and immediate communication as required. Another objective is to work together through group purchasing to insure each member has every buying advantage possible.
Membership is limited to one store per campus. This is the only way possible to insure the inside information sharing necessary to make our organization work. We also strive to insure that members do not have plans to compete other members' campuses. This could also affect the trust required to share.
For more information on membership opportunities, please contact our Executive Director Lysa Byous at (816) 587-3380 or email us at info@thespiritshow.com.
MISSION STATEMENT: University Spirit of America exists for the purpose of providing our membership with the competitive business advantages necessary to operate a successful collegiate recognition store through the sharing and bonding of its members.
